      Are you eligible to work as a registered nurse in UK?

      Overseas nurses must be registered nurses in own country – previous experience is not required
      • Initial NMC assessment to confirm eligibility.
      • 1 year’s minimum experience as registered nurse.
      • IELTS – overall 7 , with 6.5 in writing and 7 in other sections.
      • OET – overall B in Reading, Listening and Speaking with C+ in Writing.
      • Aggregate two test over a 6 month period . with no test scoring under 6.5 or C+ where the minimum standard has been met on previous test.
      • English standard can also be met by :- registration in native English speaking country, within 2 years of applying to NMC or trained and assessed in English , within 2 years of applying to NMC.
      • Online computer based test (CBT – can be taken in own country)
      • Full assessment of nurse training and education including transcripts/CV/ references etc.

      What is the starting salary?

      A Registered Nurse (RN) earns an average salary of £24,419 per year. Starting salary for a Band 5 Nurse is £25,907 a year. With 2-4 years of experience, a Band 5 nurse will earn £27,970. The very top of this band pays £30,615.

      What is the process of relocating to the UK and working within the NHS?

      To work within the NHS, you will need:

      Will I be given accommodation in the UK?
      Typically, most NHS hospitals offer 2-3 months free accommodation. Please note, hospital accommodation facilities are limited and so often they will only be able to provide you with single occupancy accommodation and your family will have to make alternative plans. Depending on how long the hospital can accommodate you for the cost of the accommodation will typically be credited into your bank account and then you will then be responsible for paying for it.

      Do I receive any other benefits?

      Flights
      Most NHS hospitals will pay for your initial flight to the UK. This will differ from hospital to hospital, so please confirm what is Included in your relocation package prior to signing your offer letter. Please note, the hospital will often only pay for your flight, not your entire family.

      Health Surcharge Reimbursement
