There are 2 PTE exams – PTE Academic and PTE General
PTE Academic is primarily used for studying purposes (university admissions), while the PTE General is used for both work visas and study visas.
PTE is actually accepted across a wide number of countries all over the world, including USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, 33 countries in Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Russia, etc), Americas (Brazil, Argentian, Mexico, Colombia), East Asia (China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan), South and South East Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia), 12 countries in the middle east.
Anyone over the age of 16 can take the PTE exam. There is no other requirement in terms of nationality or any other background.

As of today, in 2024, the exam fees is Rs.17,000 in India
The exam is available throughout the year. You can feel free to choose a date as per your convenience.
There is no limit to this. You can take the exam how many ever times you want. We do recommend that you prepare thoroughly and write the exam preferably just once, to save yourself time, money and effort. When you enrol with us, we do our best to ensure you get the result you desire in your first attempt.
The exam consists of 3 sections : Speaking and Writing ( 54 – 67 minutes), Reading skills ( 29 – 30 minutes) and Listening skills (30-43 minutes).
There is no passing score. You are scored from 10 – 90. You will need to score above a particular level depending on your university or immigration requirement.
You will get your score within 48 hours of writing the exam. Visit the Pearson official website and login with your specific details.
PTE scores are valid for 2 years.
Both are exams which test your language proficiency in similar formats. We would advise you to go through the exact syllabus and test format for each one to see which one might be easier for you based on your strengths and weaknesses.
The exam is completely computer based.
